Adrie – Key Accountmanager at Renewi
Adrie has been a familiar face within Renewi (then Van Gansewinkel) since August 1999. Her career with the company began via an unusual route. After a period at a temporary employment agency and a few months in Spain to learn Spanish, she came into contact with Van Gansewinkel, then one of her clients, through the same temporary employment agency.
"I always really liked the company," Adrie says. "When I came back from Spain, I got the chance to go for an interview. I applied for a back office position, but ended up getting hired as a field sales account manager."
"It is great to see how we are able to attract more and more logistics companies to us," she says. "And especially how we can help them with sustainable solutions that also bring nice savings."
"Despite working here for so long, my job still feels fresh and challenging. This is also because of the nice colleagues and the fun working atmosphere."
Adrie is enthusiastic about the sustainable innovations Renewi is implementing, such as the project using electric vehicles to reduce CO₂ emissions in waste collection.

In the 25 years that followed, Adrie grew to become a fixture in the team.
