Continuous Improvement Specialist

Drive change where it matters – turn good processes into great ones and help us improve today to protect tomorrow!

Are you passionate about making things better—every single day? Do you see opportunities where others see obstacles? We are looking for a sharp, energetic and hands-on Continuous Improvement Specialist who wants to make a difference—by improving our operations, empowering our teams, and embedding a mindset of continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement Specialist (32 – 40 hours)
Work location flexible, based in either Lommel (BE) or Heijningen (NL)

Make improvement the standard
As our Continuous Improvement Specialist, you’ll be a catalyst for operational excellence. Whether it's improving turnaround time in logistics, increasing safety on site, or helping a team rethink a daily process, you’ll be the trusted advisor who brings structure, clarity, and momentum.

You will:

  • Identify improvement opportunities across multiple departments and turn them into measurable projects and actions.
  • Support the business to deliver the agreed improvement project plans.
  • Lead Kaizen and other improvement workshops and improvement projects.
  • Using Lean tools and CI thinking to tackle real business challenges and improvement opportunities
  • Coach teams and individuals in CI methodology and mindset.
  • Translate strategic priorities into practical KPIs and drive performance at team level.
  • Create alignment across functions and stakeholders—bridging the gap between strategy and execution.
  • Monitor progress and ensure improvements are embedded and sustained for the long term
  • You’ll report to the Manager CI and work closely with our operations colleagues.

What makes you our ideal CI Specialist?

  • A solid foundation in Lean (Green or Black Belt preferred), Kaizen, and CI methodologies
Experience with CI tools such as A3 management, 5S, process mapping, PDCA, and problem solving
  • Strong analytical and facilitation skills—you’re able to guide teams through complex problems with structure and clarity.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with people across all levels of the organization.
  • Pragmatic, energetic, and hands-on: you get things moving and keep them going.
  • Demonstrate a desire to drive change and improvement.
  • Affinity with circular economy, sustainability, or manufacturing/logistics environments is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and some Dutch

What do we offer you?

  • A competitive salary (max € 6.500 per month) 8% holiday allowance, a good pension scheme, laptop and phone and a minimum of 27.5 holiday days (and you can buy 20 more if you need);
  • A chance to grow while contributing to a cleaner, greener world.
  • Work in a highly dynamic, innovative environment with freedom to explore and create.
  • The opportunity to build something that lasts—not just projects, but culture.
