Working in SHEQ at Renewi: Your impact on safety, health and environment. 

Renewi is all about working safely and responsibly. In the SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) work area, you ensure that colleagues can go home safely every day, that we comply with all laws and regulations and that we fulfil our sustainable mission. For us, safety is not an afterthought, but the basis for everything we do. 
Every day, we process tonnes of waste into valuable raw materials. To do this responsibly, we rely on the knowledge and commitment of driven SHEQ specialists who recognise risks, improve processes and positively influence behaviour. 
  

Your role within SHEQ at Renewi 

As an SHEQ professional at Renewi, you are the link between policy and practice. You will ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental and quality standards and work closely with colleagues at all levels. Whether you work as a safety expert, environmental coordinator, SHEQ advisor or quality officer, your expertise contributes to a safe and sustainable working environment. 
You analyse risks, conduct audits and inspections, draw up improvement proposals and guide colleagues in safe and environmentally aware working. You are also an important sparring partner for management, operations and engineering. You know how to connect theory and practice and have a visible presence on the shop floor.

You guard the balance between production, people and the environment. From keeping collection processes safe to improving recycling facilities, you will make a difference.

Safety (S): Minimising workplace incidents and ensuring the safety of all employees and stakeholders. 
Health (H): Promoting and protecting the health and well-being of employees and other stakeholders. 
Environment (E): Managing and minimising the environmental impact of our operations, including efficient use of raw materials and waste reduction. 
Quality (Q): Ensuring consistent quality of products and services, in line with customer and legal requirements. 

The SHEQ department achieves its mission through various activities, including: developing and implementing SHEQ policies, standards and procedures, conducting risk analysis and hazard identification, providing training on SHEQ topics, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, monitoring and auditing SHEQ performance and promoting a positive SHEQ culture within the organisation.
