As a Data Quality Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our data is reliable, consistent, and meets the highest standards of quality. You’ll collaborate closely with the Data Governance Specialists and Master Data Management specialist, together your team will be responsible for setting guidelines on quality, governance and MDM. You will be in the lead to identify, resolve, and prevent data quality issues, directly impacting our ability to make data-driven decisions. This role is perfect for someone detail-oriented and analytical who enjoys optimizing data processes and establishing best practices.

What will you do?

  • Develop, implement, and maintain data quality standards and processes to improve the accuracy and consistency of our data assets;
  • Conduct regular audits and quality assessments to detect and resolve data issues, ensuring alignment with business needs and standards;
  • Work closely with data stewards and other stakeholders to establish clear definitions and rules for data quality;
  • Identify, document, and resolve data quality issues, implementing root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence;
  • Set up and maintain monitoring tools to track data quality metrics, ensuring timely responses to data quality concerns;
  • Communicate findings and solutions effectively across departments, ensuring everyone is aligned on data quality priorities;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data workflows and enhance quality assurance processes;
  • Develop training materials and workshops for data users on data quality standards and best practices;
  • Support data governance initiatives by contributing to the development of policies and standards for data management.

What do we ask of you?

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience;
  • At least 3 years of quality management, data analysis, or similar experience;
  • Proven knowledge of data quality tools and methods, with experience using software like Informatica, Talend, Ataccama or similar platforms;
  • Experienced with and a good understanding of common data frameworks like DAMA-DMBOK;
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and a commitment to precision;
  • Experience and/ or affinity with Agile way of working;
  • You are proficient in communication in English and preferably also Dutch;
  • Excellent ability to convey data quality issues and resolutions across various levels of the organization;
  • Ability to explain the importance of data from a business perspective across all levels of the organization.
