As a Master Data Management (MDM) Specialist, you will ensure the consistency, accuracy, and reliability of core business data across the organization. You’ll work with stakeholders from various departments to establish data standards and implement best practices, supporting essential business processes with high-quality data. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented with a strong understanding of data governance principles and a commitment to improving data quality.

What will you do?

• Together with the data governance specialist you will define, implement, and maintain data standards, policies, and governance frameworks for master data across multiple domains (e.g., customer, product, vendor);
• Work closely with data owners and stewards to create consistent data definitions, ensuring data integrity across systems;
• Monitor compliance with established data governance processes, ensuring alignment with business goals;
• Conduct regular audits to assess and improve the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of master data records;
• Together with the data quality specialist you will identify and resolve data discrepancies, collaborating with IT and business teams to implement root-cause solutions;
• Manage data entry, updates, and synchronization activities to maintain high-quality master data across platforms;
• Act as the central point of contact for master data management questions, providing expertise and support to various business units;
• Train and support data users on master data standards and practices, promoting awareness of MDM’s importance;
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing data processes and workflows to drive efficiencies and reduce errors.

What do we ask of you?

• Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience;
• At least 3 years of master data management, data governance, data quality, or similar experience;
• Proven knowledge of MDM tools (e.g., Informatica, Microsoft MDS, Ataccama MDM) and understanding of data management principles;
• Experienced with and a good understanding of common data frameworks like DAMA-DMBOK;
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to data accuracy and quality;
• Experience and/ or affinity with Agile way of working;
• You are proficient in communication in English and preferably also Dutch;
• Ability to explain and communicate data concepts and the importance of data to various audiences across the organization.
