COE Customer & Employee Engagement - Pieter Bouwmans

The IT Center of Excellence (CoE) Customer & Employee Engagement is all about digitizing interactions with customers and employees, using state-of-the-art technology within an connected IT landscape. Where offline communications remains a key asset in the customer and employee journey, we believe that technology can empower our organization to optimize processes and that self-service enables our audience to do business with Renewi easier and faster. 

The CoE works closely with business stakeholders to define the roadmap for further digitization. We understand the business ambition and are able to advise and inspire them, together with a network of trusted partners. 

The CoE consists of 3 DevOps teams that configure, develop and maintain the platforms and apps within their area of expertise, e.g. Salesforce, Workday and Front-end. We invest in learning & development to ensure our employees are capable of owning the technology and grow towards highly skilled professionals. The DevOps teams aim for continuous improvement, automation and use of best practices. 

In enabling our business to be successful, team members will work together in multi-disciplinary teams  within a development value stream to deliver end-2-end solutions. This way, we combine the strength of domain and technology expertise with service-oriented development. In coming years we will contribute heavily in delivering a new digital core for Renewi. Examples of this are the further implementation of Workday as core HR Platform (launched in 2023), the re-design and build of a new Salesforce that enables a harmonized Sales and Service process and implementation of the headless approach for our website, webshop and customer portals.
