As a Facility Buyer, you will play a role in managing and optimizing our Facility procurement processes, ensuring that we source the best solutions to support our business goals.

Location: can be anywhere in Belgium or the Netherlands as long as you are willing to visit our sites

In this role, you won’t just be managing purchases; you’ll be influencing the trajectory of our organization. Your contributions will be crucial as we strive for excellence in procurement, making a real business impact to our topline, bottom line and cash positions. What will you do?

  • Source and manage suppliers for facility-related goods and services, including office supplies, cleaning services, utilities, and maintenance.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effective, high-quality procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards in all procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with various departments and sites across multiple locations to understand facility needs and drive process improvements.
  • Monitor supplier performance, ensuring high service levels, and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency.
  • Support sustainability goals by sourcing eco-friendly solutions and reducing the environmental impact of our facilities.

What we think will help you to be successful in this role

  • Love for Facility Management. You understand Facility trends and solutions, but also our site colleagues and their needs. You are experienced in facility procurement and you have proven track record in delivering overall value in this domain (value in / cost out / cash generation).
  • Love for procurement. Finding joy in making procurement cool! Procurement category management experience of minimum 8 years; ability to create sourcing strategies, organize your portfolio for long term success, strong executional capabilities (eye for details, go getter mindset).
  • Love for your stakeholders. Strong soft skills – connection, collaboration and communication skills. You are driven to make a difference with and for your stakeholders, keep connecting suppliers capabilities to our business needs.
  • Experience helps as we go through on our procurement transformation: you have seen how good looks like – you are coming from well recognized procurement organizations.
  • Ability to manage suppliers across multiple regions and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • A problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • A passion for sustainability and interest in how facilities drive environmental impact

Process

  • Screening interview – with Talent Acquisition
  • Round 1 and 2 – interview with hiring manager, director and stakeholder
  • Online assessment will be done in between round 1 and 2
