Category Manager Logistics (ca. 400M€ Spend)
Location: can be anywhere in Belgium or the Netherlands as long as you are willing to visit our sites
We are looking for a Category Manager Logistics to join our team. In this role, you will manage logistics portfolios across multiple sites and countries, helping us improve processes and deliver sustainable solutions. In this role, you will be a key member of the Procurement Leadership Team and drive the continuous improvement for the end-to-end process thinking, ensuring alignment with all relevant stakeholders. You report to Group Director Procurement and you will lead the category buyers in your team.
Spend: Ca. 400M€ and covering: Trucks, Yellow Goods (FLT, shovels), Containers, Maintenance, Tires.
Your key responsibilities:
- Manage logistics suppliers and build strong supplier relationships.
- Oversee the lifecycle of trucks and other logistics equipment.
- Lead change management initiatives to improve efficiency and performance.
- Drive end-to-end process thinking, from planning to execution.
- Manage portfolios across multiple sites and countries, ensuring consistency and best practices.
Current Procurement set up:
- Procurement function is headed by the Group Procurement Director (Eniko Kato), who joined Renewi in July ’24, the function continues reporting to the CFO (Annemieke den Otter).
- Procurement is responsible for an annual budget of 600M€ OPEX and 150M€ CAPEX spend (scope excludes “waste management disposal” cost (i.e. incinerator cost).
- Our procurement mission is to Impact the P&L, focus on topline (value in), bottom-line (cost out) and cash generation, while building the right foundation and taking overall care.

- You worked in a matrix organization and you know how to deliver results in this set up.

- You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment which is not very well structured (yet). You are flexible – you don’t mind working from various locations, or staying in your home-office (a day or two a week).

We appreciate that there’s nothing like one size fits all when it comes to individual preferences. Yet we want to strike a good balance between working independently and developing a team-feel, sense of belongings. This is how we work as a Team:
- We are headquartered out of Eindhoven (Flight Forum offices), we have 154 sites across Belgium & Netherlands.
- We are typically based on a site closest to our home.
- We tend to be in Eindhoven once or twice a week, we visit a site location and work from home one or two days a week.
- We have monthly (in person) Purchasing Leadership Team meeting and monthly “All Hands” meeting (involving the entire team) on a central location (in person).
