As the Plant Manager, you will lead our site in Dordrecht, which is the leading specialist in the recycling of a broad range of e-waste, including household and professional refrigerators, freezers, and large white goods. We give new life to e-waste by recovering valuable materials such as metals and plastics. These high-quality materials are utilized throughout Europe for sustainable and innovative production. Each year, we process more than 65,000 tons of e-waste, contributing significantly to the circular economy.

Your mission:

  • Strategic Leadership: Shape our strategic direction and foster a collaborative, growth-oriented team environment
  • Site Operations: Manage all site activities, from incoming materials to outgoing shipments, optimizing operational costs while maintaining highest quality product output
  • Production Excellence: Ensure an optimal production process, including inspections, quality sampling and continuous improvement analysis
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact for customers, suppliers, regulatory authorities, and local communities
  • Reporting: Streamline decision making, e.g. by preparing required reports including KPIs, financial updates, permits, and safety notifications
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure the site meets and continuously improves all SHEQ goals (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality).

Your Team:

Your direct reports include two Supervisors (Production and Maintenance) and a Coordinator Logistics. Your management team also includes leaders from Finance, HR, Engineering and SHEQ. The total site has approximately 130 employees working in a three shift system. Additionally, you’ll collaborate closely with supporting functions, including e.g. Business Development & Innovation, Sales and Procurement.

What do you Bring?

  • A positive mindset and strong ambition.
  • A relevant technical Bachelor’s degree with management experience in manufacturing or the processing industry.
  • Knowledge of production processes….and how to improve them (e.g. Continuous Improvement experience is a big plus).
  • Enthusiasm that inspires and motivates your team.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Ability to work in a close-knit, agile team within a larger corporate structure.
  • Risk awareness, stress resilience, and priority-setting skills.
  • Analytical thinking with financial insight to ensure site profitability (you have site P&L responsibility).
