Software Test Manager

As Software Test Manager, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies and ensuring that they are effectively applied across all projects/epics. You will establish clear guidelines, standards, and processes for both manual and automated testing, ensuring consistency and quality throughout the software development lifecycle. In this role, you will select and manage the appropriate testing tools and platforms, ensuring they align with the organization’s goals. You'll work closely with:

1). Development and project teams to ensure test coverage meets project requirements,
2). Program Managers, Release Train Engineers, and the Release Manager to provide input on the quality and readiness of the delivered work,
3). Test teams by mentoring staff, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Additionally, you will monitor and report test results, identify risks, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
You will start with a small team which will need to be built into a competence with potential to grow.

What will you do?

• Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies, guidelines, and best practices across the organization.
• Set up and manage testing tools, ensuring they are integrated seamlessly into the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and meet quality standards.
• Lead, mentor, and guide the testing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Drive both manual and automated testing initiatives, ensuring thorough test coverage for all applications and systems.
• Create and maintain documentation for testing processes, procedures, and tools.
• Monitor testing progress, analyze results, and provide insights to improve efficiency and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, audit requirements, and internal policies regarding quality and testing.
• In the long term, be responsible for setting up automated test processes and tools.
